Just because you got your driver’s license and a car does not mean you are ready to hit the road, legally anyway. You are going to have to buy auto insurance to be legal and stay out of trouble. Not only will you get into serious trouble with the police if you are caught driving with no insurance, you could also be held liable for civil damages if you get into a wreck.
