Hello Kitty was initially created as a cartoon character in the year 1974; it is white kitty without a mouth that has her own world of dreams and fantasies. Even when the cartoon was still on, the slogan that was attached with Hello Kitty was “Be Yourself”. Although since the mid 1970′s Sanrio was the only company producing Hello Kitty products, it was only in the late 1980′s that its products became popular on the international scale.
